Doctor Who fandom in the 1970s

A couple of years ago, in another place, I posted some scans of early covers of TARDIS, the fanzine around which the Doctor Who Appreciation Society formed in 1976. Simon, who writes the blog My TARDIS Years, asked me whether he could reproduce them. They now appear in his latest blog entry, ‘My fandom years with Steve Cambden + interview’. Read about the days when fandom was small and one could be lucky enough to watch The Pirate Planet on first broadcast at Debbie Watling’s house; and also of the days when it was expected that most people started work at sixteen, and if you were also very lucky you could join the BBC and become K9’s assistant operator.
